LIMONE, ELIXIR OF LONG LIFE

Arriving in Limone sul Garda, the northernmost town on the Brescian bank of the lake, one is first of all struck by the beauty of the natural scenario, comprised of olive and lemon groves, and by the scent of oleander and bouganville that are mirrored in the blue of the lake. Then one discovers that in town two languages are spoken, German and Italian.

This place is in fact very much loved by the Germans who consider it the “ultimate in romanticism”. For all the guests, German or not, it is a good sign that the famous protein “A-1 Milano-gene Limone” has been discovered, present only in the blood of some citizens of Limone. It seems it has longevity effects, because it protects against heart attacks.
